The Pasadena Jazz Institute Presents

The Sixth ANNUAL
"Jazz Camp for KIDS"
Summer, 2008.

The 5th annual “Jazz Camp for Kids” will be held at the Pasadena Jazz Institute 260 East Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91101 Suite 206.
The PJI is located on the 2nd floor of the west side of Paseo Colorado across the street from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Modern performance stage
complete sound and light systems.

This week-long jazz adventure includes five days of jazz history, theory, master classes, ensemble classes, concerts and jam sessions with some of L.A.'s finest jazz musicians. Young musicians, ages 12* to 17, will participate a in the week-long program which will culminate in a series of ensemble and band performances on the last day.

Session #2 July 7 to July 11
Session #3 July 14 to July 18
Session #4 July 21 to July 25
Session #5 July 28 to August 1

Session #6 August 4 to August 8
Session #7 August 11 to August 15
9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.

Instructors include Jim Jedeikin, Dave Culwell, Paul Lines, Nolan Shaheed, Rickey Woodard and Roy McCurdy

All participants should bring their instruments and a "sack" lunch.
We'll supply the drums, pianos and vibraphone.
Prerequisite is mastery of the B flat major scale.
